Amanda’s Story
Dedicated to excellence and innovation, Amanda's journey began many years ago when she was just a young girl. “I remember when I was 12 or 13 years old knowing that I would be a florist!”
In my early 20’s, I dove into the floral design world taking a year long commercial floral design course at Olds College in Olds Alberta. I then made my way working alongside great designers at various florists in Canada. After a move to Whitehorse, Yukon I started working at a beautiful flower shop that gave me years of design experience and a love for seeing people smile whenever they walked through the door. After leaving the floral design industry for a chance at a new career, I remained in love with flowers, often creating beautiful wedding florals for friends and family. Fast forward 20 years, I decided it was time to go back to my passion. I turned my garage into a design studio and kicked off with offering stunning Valentines florals to friends and co-workers. I hosted the first of many floral design workshops, and did wedding flowers from a humble corner of my kitchen.
Her natural flair for combining hues and her eye for elegance quickly gained her a devoted following. With demand blooming, it was only a matter of time before Amanda’s Bloomin' Buckets blossomed into the specialty floral design studio it is today.
My studio is a sanctuary where imagination takes root and flourishes into personalized floral artistry. From the freshness of hand-selected flowers to the custom service I offer each client, my goal is to sow seeds of joy and nurture them into lasting memories.

At Bloomin’ Buckets, we proudly utilize a network of Canadian growers and reputable Canadian fresh flower suppliers. From the esteemed Wandering Bee in Thorndale, the small but mighty flower fields at emcow flowers in Parkhill to our fresh flower importers conveniently located right here in Strathroy. Our flowers are sourced from Canada as well as vibrant regions in South America and Europe ensuring freshness and quality in every arrangement. I take immense pride in prioritizing local growers right here in Ontario whenever possible, This commitment to supporting local agriculture has always been a fundamental aspect of our mission, and I can assure you that it will never change!
